Research On The Thought System Of Agriculture Modernization Since The 4～(th) Plenary Session Of The 13～(th) Central Committee Of The Communist Party Of China

The 4th Plenary Session of the 13th Central Committee held in June of 1989 is a very important meeting in the history of the Communist Party of China, in which we established the 3 rd generation leadership group circled around Jiang Zemin. It indicated that our career of Chinese reform and opening and the construction of Chinese modernization had stepped into a new developing stage and would have a profound effect to Chinese characteristic socialism. After the 4th Plenary Session of the 13th Central Committee, the 3rd generation leadership circled by Jiang Zemin and the new leadership headed by Hu Jingtao held up the great flag of Mao Zedong Thought, Deng Xiaoping Theory, and "three representatives of Jiang Zemin" lead our national people to promote the agriculture modernization, explored constantly and finally put forward creatively a series of policies and strategies on promoting agriculture modernization according to the changes of different stages of Chinese rural economics development in a new era, which led to form the thought system of agriculture modernization with obvious time feature, enriched and developed greatly the theory of constructing Chinese characteristic socialism.The dissertation is composed of four chapters as follows.Chapter 1 introduces the research aim of the dissertation, the current research situations and the basic meaning of agriculture modernization.Chapter 2 retrospects the course of agriculture modernization since the foundation of People's Republic of China and has an elementary understanding of it. Draws the conclusion that the thought of agriculture modernization of the Communist Party of China is the inheriting and developing of Mao Zedong's andDeng Xiaoping's thought system of agriculture modernization by analyzing the theoretical prospect of agriculture modernization since the 4th Plenary Session of the 13th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China.Chapter 3 expatiates on the main contents of agriculture modernization since the 4th Plenary Session of the 13th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China including the strategic status of agriculture modernization, developing agriculture by means of science and technology, rural reform and structure adjusting and the strategy conceiving and developing modes of promoting Chinese agriculture modernization.Chapter 4 analyzes the essential features of our party's agriculture modernization since the 4th Plenary Session of the 13 th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, and also points out some issues we should pay special attention to in the process of Chinese agriculture modernization led by the Communist Party of China and puts forwards some ideas about it.
