The Research For The International Competitiveness Of The Manufacturing Industry Of China

Under the reform and open policy, the manufacturing industry in China has developed rapidly. The quantity of many products has already become the top of the world, and some technology-intensive corporations have even entered the international market with their own brands. More and more foreign academicians and medias comment that China will become the "world factory" in 21st century, and some even comment that China has already been. Under such circumstances, we need keep our mind calmly and objectively analyze the international competitiveness of manufacturing industry of our country and then find out the solutions to make even greater progress.The structure of this paper is as follows: Firstly it made a retrospection to the theories of international competitiveness and clarified the origin of these theories, the development and the current direction for research; Secondly, it analyzes the system of the measure index of the international competitiveness; Then use some important indice to analyze the international competitiveness of the manufacturing industry of China; Finally, it analyzes the reasons which hinder its development and brings out some suggestions to improve.
