Manufacturing industry in China, which has been named the manufacturing center of the world by the experts and researchers, is becoming more and more important to the world after Entering WTO. Meanwhile "Made in China " has been the hot focus of the world economic. The most competitive advantage of Chinese manufacturing industry is abundant but cheap labor pool. For these above reason, this paper chooses manufacturing industry as the research subject and studies the influence of industrial wage to the industrial competitiveness. A stander system is built to evaluate different dimensions of industrial competitiveness, through which the effect mechanism is explored. On this basis, the disadvantage of low industrial wage to our manufacturing industry is discussed. The fact that the Chinese manufacturing industry depends too much on the low priced producing element is no longer adaptive to international compete. It concludes that using the relative advantage of low price in labor to improve our manufacturing competitiveness is limited. The way to win is using and improving the quality of senior producing elements, expanding relative competitiveness and making progress in competitiveness. In the end, on the basis of wage theory, this paper brings out the policy advices to improve Chinese manufacturing industry competitiveness.
