| Management Information System(MIS) has become a key factor of various kinds of contemporary social organizations in manufacturing products, offering services and managing organizations. The effective application of information technology(IT) and system is an important way that enterprises acquire the advantage in market competition. The small-to-medium-sized manufacturing enterprises which establish and use MIS can improve their market reaction speed, shorten the product development cycle, increase the manufacturing flexibility, strengthen the cost controlling, and then enhance their competitive power.This thesis focused on analyzing, designing and implementing the Production MIS for Jingmen Petrochemical Complex's Machine Plant(JPCMP). According to C/S structure, the system network architecture and topological structure, the database design, network design, client design and implementation were introduced. The main work includes the following:Firstly, the institutional structure and business functions of JPCMP were investigated and analyzed, and subsequently the overall functional structure of the system was presented, and the planning principles were established.Secondly, the emphasis was given on the conceptual design, logical design and physical design of the system and the methods of creating database. On this basis, the business process arrangement and the implementation of most functional modules under C/S were given in detail.Thirdly, it described some characteristics and know-hows of the system, such as using the base form, how to calculate the balance, how to compress and encrypt and how to deal with transactions.Finally, a summary of the thesis was made and the direction for the future work was put forward.The actual application indicates that the Production MIS for JPCMP is in good running status. It is reliable and substantial, and the desired goal is achieved. |
