Cross-culture management issues are readily apparent in international joint ventures,and often feature in examinations of joint ventures involving China in particular. As amarginal subject between enterprise study and culture study, we know enterprise is a basicelement to composing our social economic substantiality. Naturally, it will cause a serial ofculture problem during the management process. This kind of problem belongs to our studysubject of enterprise culture. In the chapter 1 to 2 of this paper, the author first expatiate the origin and functions ofenterprise culture, and then through referring to the study fruit of foreign famous managers,discuss the relationship of between enterprise culture and employ persons method, betweenenterprise culture and achievement, communication science and so on. Finally, the authoramplifies on the significance of across-culture management. Chapter 3 refers to the study result of professor G. Hofstede, which is point out theotherness of culture. There are four indexes to describe the otherness, which are powerdistance index, uncertainty avoidance index, individualism versus collectivism andmasculinity versus femininity. Moreover, the author give two flesh examples which are theauthor worked companies to analyze that difference culture background how to influencecompany's management. Chapter 4 is study the development of KFC in China. This part point out someacross-culture problems which are multinational companies ought to pay more attention towhen they establish enterprise development stratagems. They should consider fully andobjectively that what are the value concept and consumption habit of local people, thenthey institute the stratagems accordingly. No. 5 part discusses how to do it when Chinese companies meet across-culturemanagement problems. The first step is that we should identify with culture difference anddevelop common ground. The second step is to set up a high quality management team. Thethird step is to develop common management concept.
