Both the national and local government increase the investment to water-saving farming gradually at these years. The project and technology of Water-Saving Farming for Arid Area increased continually and the amount of information of project of Water-Saving Farming for Arid Area also increase quickly. At the same time, as the information technology develops by leaps and bounds, especially the development of internet technology, the need of handling the official business at internet becomes more outstanding. How to use these advanced information technology to manage the information and how to construct a multi-roles, multi-user and Internet-based platform for water-saving farming information changing is a very urgent need.In view of the actual needs of project management of water-saving farming for Arid Area, using the Object Oriented concept, this study has developed a project management information system of water-saving farming for arid area which is based on internet and GIS , including project management subsystem, project planning subsystem, GIS function subsystem, technology consultation subsystem and safe control subsystem. In the system development process, I lay the stress on the design of accessing control mechanism based on roles.Based on analyzing the memory mechanism of ArcSDE and Oracle Spatial, this article roundly analyzes and compares their advantage and disadvantage. In this system, we use ArcSDE and SQL Server 2000 storage scheme to integrate the spatial data with attribute data. ?On the basis of analyzing current existed problem of GIS integration and integration model, starting with model integration, this paper analyzes the meaning, pattern and existent integration scheme of the integration of applied model and GIS,and point out that existent integration scheme can not meet the needs of integration distributed system. Beside above, this document analyze the content of Web Service technology and its superiority of system integration, advances a GIS integration scheme based on Web Service ,and shows the detailed process of GIS integration on the .NET platform.
