| In recent years, studies on cooperative innovation have shifted to aspects such as cooperation modes, organizational structure, and technological transfer, from focusing on cooperation necessity, motivation and advantages, etc. Thus it will provide much more practical guidance for enterprises. Based on an actual case of cooperative innovation on the R&D of a new kind of instrument between TEC (Hong Kong) Company and the centrifuge research group in Chinese Academy of Sciences, this paper explores the collaborative behavior from three emphases: the selection of partner and cooperation mode, the involvement of internal and external partners, and the management of cooperation risks. The author, directly participating the whole process, hopes that the gain and loss of this case will provide a reference to enterprises during cooperative innovation. Firstly, this paper traces the decision-making progress and introduces the achievement of resource sharing and superiority improving. Secondly, particular explanation stresses the extensive involvement of partners from project management factors. Finally, the analysis of cooperation risks and the introduction of risk management from TEC Company will provide effective measures to enterprises. Following conclusions can be derived from the above analysis:(1) Effective cooperative innovation can achieve the desired goal by sharing resources and improving superiorities. It is essential to balance partners' benefits and mobilize the team for the selection of cooperation mode.(2) In order to ensure the quality and success of the target product, project management can be used in the process of cooperative innovation. (3) Risks of cooperative innovation should be realized, thus risk management can be designed correspondingly through communication, organizational structure or regulations. |
