| At the end of year 2003, China Aviation Industry Corporation I (briefed as AVIC I) launched an important change of its organizational structure by establishing a product division, aiming to be in line with multinational companies in future. There are many factors that AVIC I should take into account, which may influence the process and effect of the change. The article introduces the company's background and analyzes the features of the existed organizational structure. Based on this as well as related organization theories, the article analyzes the contingent problems of the change and brings forward suggestions on how to solve the problems.The article is composed of five chapters. The preface is a brief introduction to the article. Chapter 1 is the collection of referred organization theories. Chapter 2 introduces the background information of AVIC I. Chapter 3 is detailed analysis to the features of AVIC I's organizational structure. AVIC I's plan and practice of establishing divisions is explained in Chapter 4. The problems analysis as well as the corresponding suggestions is placed in Chapter 5. The last part is a short summary.AVIC I's practice in organizational structure change is very meaningful for large state-owned companies. The article endeavours to make some valuable exploration of solving some common problems that may be confronted by the large state-owned companies, especially those in war industry, when they try to make some change in organizational structure in order to survive even succeed in modern competition. |
