| Banking business is the core of modern economy and plays an important role in national financial system. Its soundness operation is a key factor to safe running of financial system vehicle, while banking supervision plays a key role in soundness operation of commercial banks.After entrance of WTO, China has quickened her step of financial opening to the world, and Chinese banks will face severe impact from foreign banks. Under such situation, it becomes hot issue again to discuss how to control risk and strengthen banking supervision. This paper started with presentation of theories of financial supervision and analyzed in detail the problems in Chinese banking supervision. And on the basis of previous analysis, combining the experience of advanced countries in banking supervision, suggestions on how to perfect the Chinese banking supervision system were proposed as follows.Firstly, the paper reviewed the seven theories of financial supervision according to genres, and made comments on these theories correspondently.Then, the author introduced the financial supervision mode and characteristics of advanced countries in banking supervision such as US, Britain and Singapore, and summarized the banking supervision experiences of these countries。In the fourth part, the paper mainly analyzed the new challenges to the international financial supervision.In the fifth part, the author reviewed firstly the evolvement of Chinese banking supervision system, and then analyzed the six main problems existed in Chinese banking supervision system.In the sixth and last part, aiming at problems existed in Chinese banking supervision, and combining the experience of advanced countries in banking supervision, the author put forward his own advices from six aspects on how to ameliorate Chinese banking supervision on the basis of the status quo and the future development trend of Chinese banking supervision.
