The Cultiviation Study Of Regional Core Competence

In recent years, along with the economical globalization time arriving, various regions in the world all are confronted with the more furious market competition. After Michael Porter published his famous work Competitive Advantage of Nations, numerous countries and their government in the world all strengthened to attach importance to the regional economy development.For accommodating to the furious competition circumstances and satisfying the self-development, each region wanted to seek for the conformity in the economy and region. Under this background, the concept of economical circle was mentioned in many scholars. It undoubtedly has the much research value to discuss that in the process of constructing economical circle, how to maintain and advance the level and the potentiality of various regional economy in order to achieve the comparative advantage which can not achieve by each region's independent development. This paper attempts to participate in this discussion and take the Wuhan economical circle as the research background. Much instructive suggestions are proposed in this paper for the Wuhan economical circle development.Firstly, this paper proposed the strict definition of the regional core competence, analyzed the connotation of the regional core competence's concept and probed the factors composed of regional core competence. And the same time the design principle of the assessment index system on regional core competence was proposed. According to the design principle, the assessment index system on regional core competence was built up. The fuzzy comprehensive assessment was adopted in the assessment index system. Some beneficial references were proposed to distinguish, foster and strengthen the regional core competence.Secondly, this paper analyzed the component and the cultivation process of the regional core competence. On the one hand this paper pointed out the foundation of the regional core competence which included the regional comparative advantage and the regional competitive advantage, and it made the emphasis on the regional economic system innovation and well regional government management system in the process of constructing the regional core competence. On the other hand from the point of view of the external reality, this paper carried on the analysis and made the generalizations that the amalgamation of the regional leading industry was the critical problem in the coalition of the regional resources and constructing the region core competence. And this paper gave the method to how to judge and select the regional leading industry.Finally, this paper took the Wuhan economical circle as an example; it analyzed the advantage and the disadvantage of the Wuhan economical circle. In the entire analysis process this paper utilized the massive data to explain the positive influence which the regional core competence brought to the Wuhan economical circle development. At last, this paper put forward a series of proposals for the government in Wuhan economical circle.
