Research On The PLM Solution Of "Islands Of Information "

Generally, the question of information islands exists in the enterprise's informationization nowadays; this question makes it unable to share information in time. There are many methods to solve it, but all the solutions have the basic thought that is to precede the demand as a whole in the course of developing the information system, Product Life-cycle Management (PLM) is one of the solutions, it has considered the product's each stage from market demand to finally discard. The main purpose of this article is to set up a structure of PLM based on the XML, the main work as follows: Have studied the reason why the information islands are formed, has proposed the concept of enterprise's developing dependence factor, which is the foundation to develop enterprise's informationization and the base of the model in this article. Have set up a PLM model on the basis of XML. This model analyzed many existing models, fully considered the latest computer technology. Its advantage is to offer the unitive exchange and transmission of the datum which from different database systems. In addition, it has fully considered the security of the datum. Have studied two pieces of technology in the above-mentioned data model: XML and work flow. And this model has considered most business of the existing PLM, using XML and work flow can make it more effective and more real-time.
