With the development of electronic information technology, electronic business develops at an extraordinary speed, whose influence on society has also expanded from economy to various aspects.Under the new business model, competition among enterprises doesn't get weakened, but intensified instead. If an enterprise couldn't obtain a competitive advantage, it would be eliminated through competition. Therefore, it has become the focus for both enterprises and economists how to help enterprise get competitive advantage in the electronic business model. With the protection period after China's entry into WTO expiring, how to help Chinese enterprises get competition advantage in the cruel competition has especially attracted the attention of both enterprises and economists. This paper is intended to do some research of this new phenomenon under these circumstances.Value chain has been used as an essential tool to study the enterprise's competitive advantage. Its effects on the basic and auxiliary value adding activities have been analyzed at first, then how it helps enterprises to obtain competitive advantage is followed. With this conclusion, three methods to enhance competitive advantage are narrated, and they're: to establish electronic supply chain, have virtual value chain more perfect as well as integrate suitable electronic business models of the current ESC and VVC. With these activities, enterprise can obtain competitive advantage in two forms: low cost and differentiation, as mentioned by Michael E. Porter. This may provide theoretic solutions to enterprises in reality, which also bears the practical meaning of this paper.There're many scholars who study e-commerce, but there're few who study its impact on competitive advantage through the angle of value chain, therefore, this is also a kind of innovation of this paper.
