Study On Patterns Of Wine Grape Production Base Development In Yantai Area

Yantai is the origin place of modern wine in China, it has over 100 years wine grape culture history. Now planting area has developed to 7000 hectare, one third wine output of the whole country produced in Yantai. Big wine companies like Changyu, Weilong, Zhongliang, and Baiyanghe lie here. After China joining WTO , with tariff decreasing, the main factor of foreign influence on domestic wine market, the ordeal domestic wine industries confronted and the wide gap between domestic wine and foreign wine both on quality and price lies in the gap of grape raw material. The urgent problem to be-solved is its poor quality but near foreign level price. Recently people's comparative analyses between China and developed countries focus on the gap of the products and technology, but neglect the weak points of system and organizations. After entering WTO, confronted strong attack from foreign enterprises we should promote wine grape industry to an organized system. This article is to study how to build an organized wine grape culture system and all sorts of "company+ farmer" development patterns.With investigation on documents and careful study on samplings of developments patterns of wine grape production base in Yantai, by comparison and appraisal of grape quality, planting interests, adaptability of new culture techniques popularization, stability of grape production base ,it is concluded that development priority should be given to private vineyard , private vineyard cooperative, collective, and vineyard rented out to farmers. It corresponds actual situation in Yantai which holds developed economy and possesses uncultivated hillside and seashore to develop small scale vineyard. It takes advantage of benefit from large scale wine grape production, and be beneficial to popularize new techniques and to produce high quality wine grape.
