Since Erik.H.Erikson introduced the concept of identity to psychology and set up the concept of ego-identity, western psychologist had studied it for about 40 years.The psychologist in China began the study of it since 90's 20 century. This paper at first introduces the achievement of western psychologist and psychologist in China, then examines the self-identity structure of adolescence students, using the methods of Investigation, Interview, Questionnaire Survey,Expioratory Factor Analysis and Confirmatory Factor Analysis. The study brings four results : At first, the self-identity structure of the adolescence students includes eight dimensions, arranged in descending order of importance to it : the sense of self-direction, the sense of self-disability, the sence of self-sex role, the sence of self-defy, the sence of authority directionalism, the sence of self-opening, the sence of self-value, the sence of self-roots. The second point is that the self-identity formation and development of adolescence students is changing flowing their growth, and its crisis has positive and negative uses. The third this study reveal the relationship between self-identity development and mental health condition of the adolescence students. This study brings several new ideas and their value: 1.Self-identity crisis is used to reflected self-identity of the adolescence students, providing the measurement and systematic study data for self-identity research in China. 2.Reveal the different grades' adolescence students'self-identity development, providing the reference for our educational work to the adolescence. 3.It provides the questionnaire of the self-identity structure of the adolescence students, and this questionnaire has been proved to have high reliability and validity by using the methods of Expioratory Factor Analysis and Confirmatory Factor Analysis. At last,about the future of the self-identity research, the author provides the implications: research method, research object range and research realms'developing.
