The Study Of Public Opinion In Virtual Community

With the growing number of Internet users and improvement of Internet technology , the virtual community has flourished in China. At the same time, democratic forces and the public opinion in virtual community began to emerge, virtual community provide a platform for a large number of Chinese citizens to express their emotion and opinion freely.Virtual community has beyond the scope of the impact of technology and penetrated into all aspects of social life till today. With the advantages of communication and interaction , virtual community undertaking majority of Chinese citizen's will to express freely and openly. Chinese citizens take for granted that the virtual community is a natural "public domain", in this public domain, citizens can discuss on national policy, political life, hot events and perform the right to monitor even influence national policy and the operation of government affairs. The public opinion of virtual community presented their own unique characteristics and patterns ,at the meanwhile ,it also has his two side . Some of it help to promote China's democratic development and improve citizen's rights of free expression , and some can lead to some negative impact ,such as damage the orderly operation of the Internet and even endanger the country's political security.Virtual community is just a platform, how to use of this platform to express their interests and opinion rationally is a question worth considering. And whether public opinion in virtual community is real or not and its authenticity issues also need to inspect .This paper take tian ya virtual community as an example, and describes the rise and development of virtual community and some special characteristics different from traditional media, analysis the reason of public opinion booming in virtual community and the meaning,political value of public opinion in virtual community. In order to clearly understand the current expression of public opinion in the virtual community, I use case study and based on the largest virtual community—"tianya virtualcommunity"to investigate some problems exist in virtual community .According to the existence of problems the paper mentioned above ,this paper will put forward some reasonable proposals and advice from the view of government supervision and guidance to promote the further development of public opinion in virtual community and regulate all kinds of negative affect .Trough our common efforts ,our virtual community will become a new and real democratic channel and China's democratic and political civilization will advanced continuously.
