Image Of America In Chinese Scholars

Along with the advancement of modernization and globalization, the various countries have being increasingly closed together in international relations. It is vital without doubt to have the mutual cognition and understanding for Sino-American as two superpowers in the international relations,especially that the faster the world changes, the more China and the US will benefit.The cognition and knowledge on image of America that China's experts about American studies possess has vital influence on the public and decision-making. By analyzing and investigating the most authoritative magazine"American Studies"from such foreign military, political, economic, social and cultural respects during 2001 to 2010 these ten years, the social culture four aspects inspected, this article can basically learn the image and perception of America that the Chinese experts and scholars have studied. This article summarizes such three perspectives as following. Firstly, from the perspective of International relations and china-us relations to discuss America, the experts and scholars hold that the United States is still a hegemony countries but need seeking cooperation with China for the hegemony is already restrictive. Secondly, on the view of the US itself and its internal framework, the experts and scholars consider the United States is not a perfect example. Besides, the experts and scholars also explore the future trend of US's development.
