The Research On New Police Public Relations

With the rapid development of the economy, the legalization and democratization of the socialist construction in China, higher demands of image, quality, ability and method from the public are placed on our police. At present,we are at a period of important strategic opportunities of economy and social development,and the police are facing new situations of emerging contradictions among people,highly increasing crimes,and complicated fights against enemy. During the reform and development period,the Chinese Public Security Organs have been constantly renovating the ideas and strategy of their service,exploring and practicing new mechanism and model. The integration and innovation of modern public service and relations forming the new public relation of police has been the important and successful practice of the Chinese Public Security Organs. The public relation of police is the manners of organization and management realized by that the police communicate with the public and achieves benign interaction through activities and publicity. In this way,they build good image and develop beneficial inside and outside relations,striving for win-win at their best and achieving the best social effects. This relation characterizes itself distinctively, basing and positioning itself heavily in the police work. It is of great practical significance to promote the social harmony and stability under the construction of the public relation and good image of police. Thus,it is inevitable to establish close relation between the police and the public, build good image of the police,enhance the police force and promote the socialization and informatizaion of the police.This paper studies the public relation of police as the object,and tries to objectively analyze the current situation based on the public administration theory from the perspectives of history,current situation and development. Through the analysis of the existing problems, reform measures have been suggested to establish good public relation of police , contributing more to construct the harmonious society. The paper discusses as follows:Firstly,it elaborates the background and significance of the topic and defines the study approaches and thesis system based on the understanding of literature review. Secondly,by explaining the concept extent and connotation,it fully holds the spirit of the public relation of police. Thirdly,it analyzes the inner and external causes of the existing problems. Fourthly, through the summary of experience and contrastive analysis,it directs the current situation, absorbs the domestic-overseas advanced experience,especially Europe,America and Hong Kong,and raises some suggestions on healthy development to improve the public relation of police.
