A Review On Liu Shaoqi's Thoughts Of Communist Party Members' Cultivation

Liu Shaoqi was one of the founders of the People's Republic of China and an outstanding Marxist. Liu Shaoqi devoted all his life to the party and the people's cause. He made remarkable contributions to the victory of China's new democratic revolution, the birth of new China, the smooth progress of socialist transformation and the development of socialist modernization. Liu Shaoqi was the first one who creatively put forward the theory of Communist Party members' self-cultivation in Chinese Communist Party and the international communist movement. This has greatly enriched and developed the Marxist party building theory. In his book Discuss on Communists'cultivation and other books, Liu Shaoqi carefully considered China's national conditions at that time and the actual situation of the Communist Party's construction, applied the Marxist stand, viewpoint and method, critically inherited Marxism-Leninism, creatively put forward the theory of the Chinese Communist Party Members'cultivation. At the time, it had played a positive guiding role in strengthening party building and getting the support of the people until the final seizure of power. At present, it has played an important practical role in our study of Marxism-Leninism and Mao Zedong thinking, for our firm belief in communism, strengthening party building and improving the party's ability to consolidate the party's ruling position, creating a harmonious socialist society. It is worth our further study and research.
