From October 1949 to1956 that the socialist system had been established, during the period, the three major subjects with which the CPC faced were increasingly prominent, namely that the CPC realized that How to transform from the revolutionary party into the ruling party, transform the focus of work from t revolution to economic construction ,and from copying Soviet model into going his own way after realzing drawbacks of Soviet model .For the achieveing of the three historical transformations,CPC needsed to hold a national congress on the three historical changes to carries on te comprehensive and systematic summary. Makes the correct analysis and conclusion, unify thought and formulate the correct route in the new historical period of party. In this situation, the Eighth National Congress of the CPC came into being. The Eighth National Congress of the CPC which explored the three major historical transformations and made great contributions to history: Firstly, it was the transformation from the revolution to construction on the focus of work, namely, through the analysis on the principal contradiction and the main task, the party made the correct decisions which shifted the work focus to economic construction; Secondly, in the ideological line, Party proposed the idea that from learning the Soviet Union to exploring their own new path of socialist construction. Under the direction of this thought, the correct economic, political, cultural, diplomatic and other aspects principles and policies were worked out in the Eighth Congress. These principles and policies not only broke the "Soviet model" but also situated China's national conditions. Therefore, the Eighth Congress was a landmark on the road of exploring China's own path to build socialism. Thirdly, the paper enhanced the importance of strengthening and improving the urgency of the ruling party. The conception of the Party construction was firstly proposed in the Eighth Congress. The congress recognized the importance of strengthening the ruling party construction. The Eighth Congress proposed some new understanding of the party construction is extremely creative and visionary, both the CPC experience of self-construction and the lessons from the Soviet Communist Party. The CPC formed the theory of the Party construction which was the application and development of Marxism in China. The Eighty Congress played an important role on strengthening and improving the Party leadership. The Eight Congress of CPC explored the three historical change sand unified the party thought, then, socialist construction enter a new historical period. However, for a variety of reasons, the exploration of the three major historical transformations was still deficient and limited : the substance of the major contradictions were not known profoundly, which changed he direction on the Eighth Plenary Session in October 1957, and repeated the class struggle; the flaws of the "Soviet model" was not known clearly ; the ruling party construction was not paid adequate attention, the control and supervision to the power were not highlighted. The existence of these deficiencies led to the interruption of the Eighty Congress routes.Although the Eighth Congress of CPC on the three historical changes was eventually finished, it took us some significant enlightenment: economic construction is the core of the socialism construction, the development should be the center of the top priority; Socialism construction should suit its own country conditions; ruling party construction should keep pace with times and improve the construction of the ruling party, only in this way, can the ruling party maintain its vigor and vitality.
