From the perspective of historical development and logical development of Marxist philosophy's theoretical system, there is no doubt that Marx's social organism theory is an important component of Marxist philosophy, to be more specifically, it is the cornerstone and meta-philosophy of Marxist philosophy. Marx's theory of social organism is the scientific and theoretical foundation of the theoretical system of Marxist philosophy, the true spirit, essence and core of Marxist historical materialism rather than a by-product or componential part of it. Marx's theory of social organism is different from his social construction theory. The latter simply examines social elements and their operating rules from a common sense, while the former emphasizes an integrative view on the organizing principles, functions, operating mechanism of the society, claiming that society is a highly automatic and self-upgrading organic integration composed of coupling, co-depending, interconnected, co-responding and indispensable elements such as human and nature, producing forces and relations of production, superstructure and ideology etc., the nature of which is the practice of real human beings. As an important constituent of Marxist historical materialism, Marx's theory of social organism is of considerable theoretical meaning and value. During its combination with social reality, it demonstrates strong theoretical radiation and guiding significance. Today, when we are advocating the construction of harmonious society and harmonious world, we are faced with serious political, economical and cultural problems concerning how to realize the virtuous operation of the society and the free and comprehensive development of human beings. We hope to achieve the goals and prospects above by applying Marx's theory of social organism. Therefore, the researches on Marx's theory of social organism will never be obsolete but need more digging and intensifying. The present research is divided into five parts:The first part is literature review, which states out the motivation, significance, current situation, method, the existing problems of the present research.Part Two mainly investigates the ideological resource and the process in which it gradually forms a theory. There is a process in which Marx's theory of social organism gradually forms, develops and completes, and this part illustrates on the process. Meanwhile, it is also found in this part that ancient Greek and German philosophy together with positive philosophy can be attributed as theoretical resources for Marx's theory of social organism.Part Three focus on the nature and characteristics analysis of Marx's theory of social organism. This section explains that practice is the nature of Marx's theory of social organism;the social organism emerged from the practice with human beings; the elements and structures of social organism derived from the basis of material production practice; the development and change of social organism influenced by practice. Besides of this, this section also summarizes three basic features of Marx's theory of social organism.Part Four analyzes the essence and characteristics of Marx's theory of social organism, since it is crucial for us to know the nature of the theory before we apply it.Part Five deals with the current implications of Marx's theory of social organism. As it is embodied with rich connotation and scientific principles, the application of Marx's theory of social organism should not only be limited in exploring its true spirit, but also be combined with the development of the real world. Meanwhile, it should also not be confined within a narrow horizon, but be expanded beyond the national boundaries to treat the whole world as a unified organism and build it into a harmonious one!...
