A Research On The Strategies For Preventing And Handling Massive Incidents Of College Students

In recent years, with the rapid development of social economy and the deepening of thereform system of higher education, massive incidents of college students recur continuously,which disrupts the normal teaching management order of institution of higher learning, evencauses a variety of social problems, and has great negative impact on harmony and stabilityof institution of higher learning and the society. Therefore, it is very important to maintain thesecurity and stability of the campus and build a harmonious socialist society that meticulousanalysis on massive incidents of college students is made and strategies are sought to preventand handle them.For frequent occurrence of massive incidents, reasons that cause massive incidents ofcollege students should be explored, the problems should be solved by the roots andprecaution measures should be enhanced so as to prevent from the occurrence of massiveincidents of college students. However, not all massive incidents can be prevented, so how topositively cope with massive incidents of college students after the outbreak also tests thecapabilities of university administrators to prepare for and handle emergency. Based on therelative researches on massive incidents and massive incidents of college students at homeand abroad, this paper defines the concept about massive incidents of college students, sumsup its types and characteristics, and analyzes reasons on massive incidents of college studentsfrom social factors, school factors and student factors. By drawing the prevention andhandling strategies from public crisis management and general massive incidents, this papermakes a rational consideration and puts forward a scientific and reasonable scheme for theprevention and handling massive incidents of college students.
