| This piece of paper mainly makes a study of Taliban in Afghanistan from prosperity to decline. Afghanistan, whose allover western border is contiguous with Iran, the southern and eastern boundaries neighbor on Pakistan and on China for the existence of Wakhan Corridoris, while the northern territory border upon Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan belonging to the membership of Shanghai Cooperation Organization, is named the crossroad of Central Asia. On account of its special geographic location,many countries, such as Persian Empire, British Empire and Soviet Union all taken pains to take control of it without any achievement at a high cost. The Britain launched three invasions on this country, and once were almost at war with czarist Russia. Soviet Union began to invade and take seize from 1979 to 1989.As a matter of fact, the inner war of Afghanistan resulting from some related powers which were keen on playing"the great game"directly help give birth to the Taliban. There is also need to point out that the lapses of the rivals of Taliban also make contributions to it.At first, the Taliban appears in the name of uprooting the warlord, restoring peace and rehabilitating homeland. However, it put extreme religion policy deriving from the mid-century into practice. Besides, it acted in collusion with al-Qaeda led by (Osama) bin Laden, which caused the resentment and dissatisfaction of international community. The war of anti-terrorism launched by America put an end to the domination of Taliban. It has staged a successful comeback since 2005 in spite of its gliding strength. Due to the setbacks of anti-terrorism of America, the international forces including NATO will continue to exist in this country. Taliban will also be present due to the same reason.It mainly discusses how Taliban grew up and backgrounds at home and abroad , the policies pursued and the resurgence of the Taliban regime . In addition, it also makes a prediction of the future tendency.
