Research Of Patients' Privacy

The right to privacy is widely concerned and discussed by society as an important right for the patients; Nowadays, as patients have developed a consciousness of their rights, medical disputes about the violation of patients' privacy increase year by year, provoking a serious conflict between doctors and patients; and how to protect patients' right to privacy has become an important topic for medical workers and theory researchers. The article has done some researches for the patient privacy from three aspects: the basic concept of privacy, the form of the violation of the patients'privacy rights and feasible proposals of protection of patient privacy, hoping to provide some advice for the improvement of doctor-patient relationship and the rapid development of Chinese medical and health services.The article is divided into three sectionsIn the first part, the concepts of the right to privacy and the privacy rights of patients is discussed along with the essential features of patients'rights and the legal property in the doctor-patients relationship , which paves the way for the next discussion of the protection of patient privacy.The second part discusses several specific forms of violations of patients' privacy then further discuss the key components and the legal responsibility of violation. The last part focuses on the protection of patient privacy, on the base of present situation at home and abroad and according to China's actual situation presented itself, the article provides practical advice for the protection of patients'privacy rights in three situations: for patients themselves, for hospitals and the foundation and improvements of the legal system.
