In the field of contemporary stragetics and international politics, one of the most important concepts is national security. With the alternation of international pattern and the change of international security situation, the new concept of national security appeared. The author believes that, the traditional concept of national security put an emphasis on the political and military security,which is still the core content of national security, but the content of the national security concept should be expanded.National security strategy studies and analyzes various factors and issues that would affect the national security in the view of national overall situation, and then genarates effective strategies, takes all possible measures and actions, including the political, military, economic, diplomatic, scientific, cultural measures and so on, and depends on the comprehensive national strength and all her strengths and measures to safeguard the national security. It is only the national security strategy that could bring peace to the country.In 2005, Ahmadinejad was elected the new president of Iran. After he took office, he mostly followed his predecessor's policy, that is "develop the relations with Islamic nations, put an emphasis on the relations with surrounding countries especially Arabic nations, and ease the relations with the neighbouring nations and western countries ". But in dealing with specific issues especially nuclear ones, his words and deeds reflect his strong hard-line tendency. Iran's national security strategy has been marked powerful Ahmadinejad characteristic. This dissertation mainly deals with the following issues:the changes of national interests in the new security situation in Iran; the goal of Iran's national security strategies; the threats it confronts, the security strategies it took and the achivevements and failures it experience.
