China's National Security, Under The Vision Of A New Security Concept

In the international poltics, Security is a basic notion and also a basic value demand. As a perpetual theme, the national security is the precondition and basis of its existence and development.The dissertation is mainly divided into three parts.The first part is mainly focused on the annotation of national security theories. The so-called security means no-threat and no-fear in a country. It doesn′t only include the military and political side ,but also contain the economic, cultural, ecological security and so on.Meanwhile, it is also a common security of interdependency. Generally speaking, small and weak countries always put their existence and development as a basic aim. However, the big and strong countries prefer to seek more security interests. Since the cold war ended, the traditional theory of national security faced great pressure and challenges as some new security issues have been emerging, such as environmental problem and terrorism. The reality of international reactions provides scholars and theorists with calling the new concept of national security to replace the traditional one. The new concept of national security provides a fresh angle and meaning of security studies.The second part is focused on the analysis of China′s national security problem in the new time as also as the peaceful and developmental time. During the period of 20 years′reform ,China′s comprehensive and international status have been enhanced significantly. It is during this period that China has been engaging the international system and reconstructing its identity. As an emerging big power with its reform and rapid grouth, China is becoming a big power which has important effect on regional and word world affairs and an active engager and reformer in the international system. China is becoming a country which was neglected in the past and now is emphasized and restricted at the sametime. As a big power, China has a long history, holds a great population and covers a large land. Reviving China is our inevitable choice. At present, the world is still in a state of anarchy of influcing the national security, every country has to face the"security dilemma"The third part mainly analyses the strategy of China′s national security in the peaceful and developmental times. The security issue that China is facing forces it to break the traditional security notion and style ,and draw up the new strategy for maintaining China′security in the new situation. The aim is to seek a new road. So that, both the national sovereignty and security and world peace and stability can be maintained. Finally, China′s revival will be fulfilled. Based on its own conditions, and in order to relax the security dilemma, China provides a new concept of security, taking〝mutual-trust, mutual-benefit, equality and cooperation〞as its core. So the word peace and regional stability can be assured. Such a new concept of security can improve China′strategic security environment, reshape a responsible image of maintaining world peace, assure China′s peaceful development in the new century and revive the nation...
