The Research About The Marxist Concept Of Happiness In Harmonious Society

With the growth of our harmonious socialist society, people's standards of happy living, as an indicator of the society development, have attracted much attention. As today's Chinese society is in a critical era filled with transitions and reforms, the speed of economic and social developments has fallen out of balance with the living standards of our people; the definition of 'the interest of society' has diversified; our traditional moral values are also being constantly challenged, shaking the basis of people's conception of happiness. As a result, this thesis is focused on discussing how to properly guide people in developing their cognition of value, perfecting the Marxist concept of happiness whilst keeping up pace with the rapid advancement of our society, and establish a concept of happiness that matches with our harmonious society.This thesis takes into account the current status of contemporary China, using the Marxist concept of happiness as its basis of theory, dwells deeply into the various dimensions of happiness, providing objective summaries of the various problems people face on their pursuit of happiness, and proceeds to discuss the enrichment and implementation of the profound concept of happiness in Marxism, with the aim of building a harmonious society.This thesis consists of five parts:the introduction mainly introduces the theoretical studies of the harmonious society and the concept of happiness carried out by various national and international scholars; part two provides an in-depth discussion of the basic theory of the Marxist concept of happiness, including a comprehensive analysis from five different aspects, which are: demands, labour production, material& spiritual life, individual& social relations, as well as giving; part three focuses on the reality of a harmonious society, giving an analysis of the material and the spiritual dimensions of the Marxist concept of happiness in the environment of a harmonious society; part four switches focus to the individual and the social dimensions of the Marxist concept of happiness in a harmonious society; part five is the key of the whole thesis, with discussions in the implementation of the Marxist concept of happiness in a harmonious society, objectively pointing out China's current achievements in implementing the Marxist concept of happiness, as well as the weaknesses in the process of implementation; the final conclusion proposes implementation strategies of the Marxist concept of happiness with a harmonious society in the field of vision, hoping to enlighten people on their pursuits of happiness.
