Laterpublishing of Internationa l Politics written by Waltz marks birth of structural realism.Based on inheriting from Morgenthau's politica l realism, Waltz pointed out defect inpolitica l realism and fully absorbed structural theory in behaviora lism and systemtheory; he also borrowed economic theory so as to construct his structural realism.This paper discusses from the following aspects: through comparison and analysis inthese two theories, this paper aims to compare with these two theories systematica llyand finds out similarities and differences between politica l realism and structuralrealism.
