The Role Definition Of Youth Federation In The Social Transformation

Youth Federation is one of the eight People's Organizations in China. It is the most widely patriotic united front organization among our young people, and has played a very active role in agglomerating and leading the youth from its establishment. At present, facing the deep Social Transformation, facing the diversity of youth groups, youth needs and youth values, Youth Federations is confronted with a very crucial problem. That is, how to make correct role-redefinition, make adjustments, and further play its active role in achieving the organization's sustainable development.In this paper, Youth Federation will be placed in this particular social and historical context of our Social Transformation. Firstly, the concept, functions and properties of Youth Federation and the theory of Nonprofit Organizations are described to lay the theoretical basis. Then, through the development of Youth Federation and its present state, the author realistically analyzes the impact on Youth Federation by Social Transformation, the own problems of this organization and the cause of the problems. Further, by focusing the case studies of some youth organizations in the developed countries and regions such as the United States, France, Singapore and Hong Kong, the author makes a comparison and learns for reference. Finally, the necessity of Youth Federation's role-redefinition in Social Transformation is considered, the path selection is proposed, the new role-definition goals are put forward, and some measures are implemented to achieve the above objectives. The author is looking forward to the future development of Youth Federation.This paper argues that Youth Federation should strive to play a good service provider, facilitator, advocator in the Social Transformation, succeed in playing the role of the Trinity, which is to serve the youth, task and the society. By doing that, Youth Federation could find its unique value in the ternary structure of the market, government and civil society, and could reshape its new image as a united front organization of the youth.
