Under The New Situation Of Ideological And Political Education Of National Defense Students

The rapid development of science and technology and the vast fielding of high-tech military equipments have influenced our army's new military reform to a large extent. And with the universal application of high-tech equipments in modern war, the army is putting forward higher requests to the quality of military personnel. So, it has become a critical point when it comes to the issue of keeping up with the world's military development to foster new highly competent military personnel, which is also an issue to which other countries are attaching greater importance. In the late 1990s, our country started the institution of cultivating military officers relying on regular higher education, in which way highly competent military reserved commanders and technical officers are turned out relying on the education and talents superiority of local colleges and universities. The national defense students'sorting and cultivating work has gained significant achievement since setting up the institution. While, there are also some problems. A portion of them failed to meet the military and political standards, for instance. Then, how to grasp well on the difference between the national defense students and the cadets in the work of ideological and political education while at the same time strengthening the national defense students'ideological education and enhancing their political literacy has become a hard nut that all workers in this field are confronted with.The author has engaged himself in the frontline of this work for years. In the procession, he has accumulated a mass of data and has obtained a perceptual knowledge about the graduate national defense students'ideological and political education environment. With all these, he got the original material for the subject study and paper writing. This paper is written based on the data collected from the questionnaire survey on the national defense students'ideological and political state. And by analyzing their state of mind and its cause, comparing the difference between the national defense students and college students and the cadets, the difference between the institution of cultivating military officers relying on regular higher education in our country and the US army's reserve officers'training corps system, he established the guiding ideology and the basic principle in strengthening the national defense students'ideological and political education in the new era, and put forward the idea and method of that work.
