The agriculture science parks of China have been developed rapidly in recent years. Among these parks, many parks mainly product vegetable in their history. These vegetable parks are good to raise local farmers income and improve the quality of vegetable supplying to cities. If the technology condition is the same, the factors input are the main reason of vegetable production amount; what's more, macro economy condition, nature condition and technical efficiency also influence the production of vegetable parks. The study hypothesis is that technical efficiency influences the production of the selected vegetable parks. In this article, the author uses the stochastic frontier production model (Battese and Coelli, 1995) to estimate the technical efficiency of the targeted vegetable parks in Shandong and Hebei provinces.According to this paper, the conclusion shows that the mean technical efficiency of the targeted vegetable parks is 0.76, the efficiency loss is 0.24 during 2000-2003. The 20 selected parks really have the efficiency loss in vegetable production. Three factors (fixed assets, the vegetable area, the farmers quantity of planting vegetable) are positive to the total vegetable production. The parks' history, property right, and the ratio of capital-debt are negatively with the technical efficiency. The fixed expenditure per person, the staff amount of bachelors and the biotechnology condition are positively related with technical efficiency. So, the author provides the following advices for these parks: receive and extend advanced technology; stabilize and raise the farmers amount; gain support from technical staff; develop the private parks; found the multi-dimension fund system; carry on the strategy of inner expand...
