Modern tourism , as a most dynamic kind social, cultural and economic activity in today's world, not only has become an important part of people's life, but also has already permeated into every aspect of society and economy; and promotes them to develop quickly. The new century is the century in which the world tourism heads really for splendor and the one in which China's tourism rises abruptly. This paper makes the western inbound tourists in Guilin as the object of the study, and analyses their tour behavior by use of the large number of data, which was gained by the author by practical investigation, adopting the study methods of merging many subjects. At last, the common behavior mode of Guilin's western inbound tourists has been summarized, which can provide scientific basis for many kinds of work, such as resources development, products planning, facilities layout, promotion and sale, markets separation, destination image improvement, tourism enterprise management etc. At the same time, it is of great importance in improving products quality, enlarging tourist origin market, raising foreign exchange.This paper can be divided into eight parts.The first part is the introduction. It mainly introduces the research actuality inside and outside China, and the researching objects, content, aim,means, significance and the innovation.The second part mostly introduces the theory of this research, which includes the concept of tour behavior, the economics, culture, behaviorism, psychology, market, geography etc. of the tour behavior research, and the five factors and processes of tour behavior.The third part mainly explains the market structure of western tourists according to nationality, gender, age, occupation, degree, income, family structure and so on.The fourth part mostly analyses the tour decision-making feature of foreign tourists, which includes the knowledge of China before arrival, the aim of tour, the intention of tour desire, the source of the information, the main influence factor and planning tour time and expenditure, the tour ways and routes.
