The study object of this thesis is the performance management of the small and medium-sized enterprises of Xinjiang Production and Construction Group (XPCG) . It is the key content of modern business administration to set up and implement a scientific performance management system, and to the small and medium-sized enterprises of our country and XPCG, it is a great and new subject to structure a scientific system of performance management in accordance with its actual conditions. Affected by the factors of history, environment and system, the small and medium-sized enterprises of XPCG still have a great disparity compared with those of Xinjiang province and others, and they are still very backward in performance management, and the performance management still remains to improve.First, this thesis explains the engenderer, the connotation, the theoretical foundation and the function of performance management, etc. and these are the theoretical foundation that this thesis studies the performance management of the small and medium-sized enterprises of XPCG.Secondly, on the basis of the general theory, this thesis analyses the current situation and the existing problems of the performance management of small and medium-sized enterprises of XPCG through questionnaire survey, and points out that the fuzzy and deviation on orientation, incompletely design of its system, lack of effective communication in the course and effective feedback of result of appraisal are the main problems of the small and medium-sized enterprises of XPCG, and analyses the reasons for these problems.Thirdly, to the existing problems, on the basis of drawing lessons from some relevant theories, this thesis structures the performance management systems of the small and medium-sized enterprises of XPCG, and this system includes key performance index system and the performance management course, and briefly appraises this system.Finally, this thesis puts forward some corresponding suggestions towards the existing problems in performance management of the small and medium-sized enterprises of XPCG. These suggestions are to set up the system of performance appraisal, to improve the responsibility system of performance management organization, to improve the performance managerial ability of the administrators, to perfect the related incentive mechanism, to raise the competence of the management information system of XPCG, etc.
