An Exploratory Analysis Of Political Honesty

Political honesty is one of the meanings of political civilization and one of the basic demands of modern society ruled by law. It can ensure political system run smoothly, strengthen the legitimacy of political authority and realize political integration effectively. Today every country throughout the world has been differently involved in the crisis of lack of political honesty, thus study of political honesty has already become an important subject that all the counties face together. In today's china, with the social transformation and systemic transition, the crisis of political honesty as one of honesty crises is very serious. It has arisen people's distrust of political system and has threatened the authority of our party and government and political stability. So building an system of political honesty has become an important question at present and in the near future.Today in china studies of political honesty have been mainly in areas of economics and ethics and they have laid particular emphasis on government honesty,having made some achievements. But the overall, systematic and thorough study of political honesty hasn't been done. Beginning with the concept of honesty, this thesis has tried to build an theoretic system of political honesty, by analyzing political honesty. And on this basis, it has inquired into political honesty state of political subjects in China completely and has carried on some constructive thinking on how to build the system of political honesty from the macroscopic.The thesis is composed of three parts. The first part has made an exploratory explanation on a series of theoretic problems, including the concept, contents, characteristics, classifications, functions, influence factors of the political honesty.The second part has made a concise analysis of political honesty state of all the political subjects in current China and has pointed out the main dangers and causes of political dishonesty. It believes that lack of economy ruled by law, constitutionalism and culture ruled by law are the main causes of political dishonesty at present in China.The last part has made some suggestions on how to build the system of political honesty, believing that the rule of law is the foundation of political honesty. So we must build economy ruled by law, constitutionalism and culture ruled by law.
