The transaction value of Chinese E-commerce reaches 440 billion RMB in 2004, the value will up to 620 billion RMB in 2005[1]. As internet transaction has widely been used, the reliability of information transfer and security of electronic transaction have become big concerns of all participants[2]. China Post Certificate Authority aims to carry out the issuing and management of identity certificate during a transaction on the electronic post system. Unfortunately, CPCA is currently only used in postal system itself, and has never handled any authentication demands from others. There is a sharp contrast to the demand of safety certificate and rapid development of industry. This artical begins with studying the authentication system and its market status in China and abroad, and then makes use of Michael E.
