SWOT Analysis And Resolving Methods Of PCG Development Strategies

Pangang Group Chengdu Iron & Steel Co., Ltd (PCG) is a merged company and a branch of Pangang Group CO. It original strategic goals are the second zone of Pangang Group CO. It will be targeted at becoming three-giant-base which produces top fine seamless steel tubes in the world, top construction fine steel products in China and deepened products of Pangang Group CO products.Present, China's iron and steel industry is advancing greatly in current good macro-economic circumstance all over in China, and meanwhile, also suffering difficulties, such as acute marketing competition, lacking of resources, rough material prices rising, costs increasing, power shortage, etc. Therefore, benefits and difficulties, opportunities and risks are mixed.This paper analyses positive and negative factors, opportunities and threat of an enterprise development with SWOT method, on the basis of researching present situation and trend of domestic and oversea iron and steel enterprises, and combining PCG' current situation. Then it demonstrates relevant problems and resolving methods during an enterprise strategic development process.In order to achieve strategic goal, PCG must emphasize and research all problems, extend strength and eliminates weakness, and has scientific development view. PCG may resolve problems with completing a series of sub-goals, within general strategic frame. Only insisting on sustainable development, concentrating business field gradually, fostering core competitive strength, enlarging the scope of collection capitals widely and promoting further reforming, PCG just is able to avoid risk and then to achieve strategic goals eventually.
