Research On The Development Of Enterprises' Technological Capabilities

In this era, the one who excels in technology will win the whole game. Compared with the world-famous enterprises, besides the difference in the entire property rights system, the key to our inferiority is the gap of technological capabilities development. In developed countries, technological innovation is technological precursory activities of enterprises, technological capabilities. But in countries with backward technology, they absorb, imitate, assimilatea and even improve, creat technology more from the countries with advanced technology. Though the technological development of many advanced countries is achieved also by absorbing, imitating and creating technology from other countries, the behavioral mechanism behind them is they have their own technological capabilities. So , the countries with backward technology should set up "research on technological capabilities "as the new framework to outshine present research on "technological innovation". And the latter only is the supplementary of the former. According to the regular pattern of technological capabilities development in developed countries and the experiences of technological capabilities development in developing countries, the paper offers the development path for countries with backward technology to develop their technological capabilities from the point of view of enterprises, behavioral evolution, which is selecting, acquiring, assimilating, improving and creating. And according to the factors of influencing technological capabilities, the technology enviroment of Chinese enterprises, development of technological capabilities and the development path, the writer discussed detailedly Chinese enterprises, own development path of technological capabilities. The key to acquiring the enterprises, technological capabilities, i.e., the progress of technological learning, is to determine a cultural so that through the technological reforms, the enterprises will become a genuine learning organization. At last, the paper proposes detailed strategies and suggestions from both the macro and the micro perspectives.
