Influence Of Technical Barriers To Trade On Hangzhou's Foreign Trade Export And The Countermeasures And Suggestions

With the development of economic integration, the international trade on the whole has taken on a new trend for trade liberalization. Under such circumstance, great changes have happened in protective measures in international trade, with traditional tariff barrier and quota weakened and Technical Barrier to Trade becoming the main trade barrier. The wide use of Technical Barrier to Trade has exerted far-reaching influence on the whole international trade and world economy. After China's entry into the WTO, external trade has developed rapidly both in Hangzhou and in China, and Technical Barrier to Trade has become a great obstacle in foreign trade development in Hangzhou as well as in China. Based on a theoretic illustration of Technical Barrier to Trade, this paper analyses the current situation, the main features and problems of foreign trade export, as well as the influence of Technical Barrier to Trade on foreign trade in Hangzhou. This paper then proceeds to put forward some countermeasures and suggestions as how to cope with Technical Barrier to Trade. The whole paper is mainly divided into three parts: theoretic summary, case analysis of foreign trade in Hangzhou, and countermeasures and suggestions for coping with Technical Barrier to Trade.In the first part, this paper makes a theoretic elaboration of Technical Barrier to Trade, and then proceeds to analyze the main features of Technical Barrier to Trade as well as the main forms of Technical Barrier to Trade in the current international trade.
