This paper first make a review of the literature on the fallacy of composition argument and eastern asia model argument, elaborate the logical starting point , theory base and methodology of the fallacy of composition argument。 Then analyze the logical deduce process and basic presumption of the fallacy of composition argument。 Aim at the basic presumption and logical deduce process of the fallacy of composition argument, the paper raise two hypotheses: First, trade competitiveness can bring about structure adjustment and produce specialization; Second, structure adjustment and produce specialization can lead to trade complement。 Then use China and ASEAN4 as the sample, base on empirical studies, test these two hypotheses with all sorts of available statistics。 Finally make a conclusion like that: countries with similar level of economic development will generate similar demand, and similar demand will bring about similar supply structure, similar supply structure will give rise to trade competitiveness, trade competitiveness will result in specialization of produce, produce specialization then lead to trade complement。In today's situation of international specialization of produce deepen, if the developing countries can constantly proceed produce specialization and structure adjustment base on their actual comparative advantage, the fallacy of composition certainly would not emerge, the export—orientation strategy is effective。...
