A Brief Study On Cult Crime

Cult is one of the public hazards of the society. It does great harm to people's health and wealth, dangers social stability, national security as well as the peace and development of the whole world. Cults usually come and grow together with religion. Different society and different period has different point of view about cults. Cults are very different to religion, they bring great danger to the society, broadcast rumors, and have strict management structure. Thus every country in the world takes severe measures to ban cults. On cult crime, there are different thoughts in the history and also in China and the other countries, hence different rules and laws. The People's Republic of China strike heavy blow on cults all the time, and made regular laws and rules. But, as a matter of fact, we have much to do on the filed of crime law, such as the composition of cult crime, relationship with relevant crimes, and our short-comings in the anti-cults struggle. In order to strengthen our work in prohibiting cults, we should legislate an anti-cults law with Chinese characteristics as soon as possible, so that our struggle against cults is in accordance with the law. Our struggle against cults must be standardized, legalized. We should take human rights above all else to guarantee cult criminals' basic human rights. We should take comprehensive way in prohibiting cults to reduce the harm and danger that cults bring to the society. We should learn from other countries, and make international co-operations and research in banning cults.
