Geo-strategic Significance Of The Russian Far East To China Today And China's Policy Adjustments

As China's important periphery, the Russian Far East area neighbors on north-east part of China, and it is in an outstanding strategic position for its rich resources and superior geographic location. For geographic, historic, political and economic reasons, China and the Russian Far east has established a peculiar geo-relationship which is noted for geo-cooperation today instead of geo-confrontation before. Currently, there exists some negative factors hindering the development of relations and cooperation between China and the Russian Far East, and it may even cause some potential geopolitical problems between the two sides. Thus, China must think highly of this and make vigorous policy adjustments covering politic, economy, culture and etc..
