On Legal Issues Of Agricultural Trade Under The WTO System

The WTO has brought agricultural trade into international multilateral trading legal system; it has a deep effect upon agricultural trading legal system of WTO Members. China, the member of WTO, is no exception to be bound by agricultural trading rules. The in-depth analysis and comprehensive grasp of the WTO agricultural trading rules and how the WTO Members using them is of positive significance to perfect the agricultural trading legal system of China and improve the competitiveness of agricultural products of China. The methods of comparative study and example analysis are adopted in this article, the author makes an intensive study of the WTO agricultural trading rules and the process and trend of Doha Round, the all-round study on agricultural trading rules of the main WTO Members is to be done also. On the basis of these, it is think that under the trend of economic globalization and agricultural trading liberalization, China should speed its construction of agricultural trading legal system. It is also discussed that to improve the competitiveness of agricultural products of China, should perfect the agricultural trading legal system of China through the aspects of domestic support, market access and market system construction and so on. The study and conclusion of this article must has a positive influence on the construction and perfection of agricultural trading legal system of China and promote China to adapt rapidly and blend into the WTO system.
