Research On Peasant Workers' Ideology In The Course Of Modernization

The people who live in countryside are bound to immigrate into urban in the course of modernization. Those people who have a little farmland and have low productivity surge up to urban. They are called "peasant workers". Smarten the pace of modernization, not depends on people accruing but depends on people transferring .For ideological and political education work itself, peasant workers are not only the education object but also the vulnerable spot of ideological and political education work. Peasant workers undergo a sharp change of occupation status and life environments after they migrate from countryside to urban. These changes are bound to dash their old-fashioned ideology, arouse new changes in their thinking, produce a large number of ideological problems. All levels of Party committee and state should lead peasant workers' old ideas to adapt for city life using the theory of ideological and political education. Of course, it's impossible to turn the idea of peasant workers that depends on education merely, so, the method of problem must relate to some systems and policy.The present workers in building trades of Shan Xi are chosen as survey target in the thesis. The author has an investigation about their current ideology situation through questionnaire surveying, interviewing special case and holding forums. The result shows that the ideology of the present workers who live in urban have modern and traditional characteristics, such as, Their provincialism turns weak gradually, while they long for city life but don't satisfy with city life;The think of marriage and childbirth becomes more and more reason, then the thought of attaching undue importance to male while neglecting female and the more children one having, the better fortune he having becomes link by degrees;The attitude of consumer shows bearing hardships and standing hard work, in addition diligent and thrifty, but shows thick traditional feature on the other hand;The idea of interpersonal relation indicates heavy geographical and blood relationship;The leisure thinking falls behind comparatively speaking. The ideology of present workers not only has positive factors suitable for modernization, but also has negative factors not suitable for modernization. The author tries to analyze the cause of negatives factors, and gives a lot of strategies according to the cause. Such as: Smarten the pace of modernization and take present workers into city dwellers range step by step;Perfect social security and provide policy guarantee for peasant workers' ideology turning;Enhance ideological and political education and lead peasant workers establishing right ideas.
