Ever since the foundation of the USA, these words such as"The Chosen people","American Exceptionism","Manifest Destiny"were red in various papers and speeches. Just as people usually said,"America is not only the most secular country, but the most religious country", religion's subtle role in America had attracted researchers of many fields. After President Bush came into power, the religion quotation is more and more used by him in open speeches, undoubtedly these words went father than the religious discourse"God bless America"which is traditionally used by almost every president. Then, how should we explain Bush's words? The questions referred to personal religious beliefs, the separation of state and church, the origin of Puritanism, the realistic politics and how to harmonize the beliefs of the politicians, the wish of the public and the foreign policy is really puzzling, and these questions which are just brought by the religious discourse really deserve our careful consideration. There are three parts in this paper. The first part: the referred conception, theory and research methods. This part makes a simple introduction of the conception such as"discourse","context"and so on.The second part: The research of religious discourse in history.
