Based on constructivist theory, the thesis analyzes the national interests of Ukraine from the angle of its domestic politics and the international system involved. On the one hand, the complexity of its historical and current situations contributes to the complexity of its national interests. At present, Ukraine has witnessed various contradictions in its domestic politics such as the contradiction between President and Parliament, between parties, and between the east and the west part of this country. Under the influence of its ideology and political culture, different political powers compete unceasingly, whose joint force forms the national interests of Ukraine. On the other hand, from the perspective of system, taken as part of the international political system, the national interests of Ukraine remains indefinite due to its undecided status. Ukraine in the post-cold war era is no longer an adversary to the western world, nor is it an allied partner to Russia. Since Ukraine is uniquely located at the crossroads of East and West, a position of tremendous geo-strategic importance to the stability of Europe and Eurasia, it inevitably entails the proper understanding of Ukraine's national interests within the interactions between West , Russia and Ukraine.
