Rawls's theory of justice is not merely an inheritance of the traditional justice theory, it is an innovation and development of it. The theory profoundly discusses the relation between individuals and the society—a general basic social problem. In my opinion: Rawls's theory of justice is significant in many aspects under the market economy of our country's policy of reforming and opening to the outside, such as individual freedom and country intervene, equity and efficiency, distribution of the social wealth according to equity, lessening the income gap. What he emphasized, the difference principle during distribution, the principle of interests compensation and the appeal of justice system to individual morality, will be helpful in correcting the injustice phenomena exist nowadays in China.The writer first analyses the connotation of Rawls's theory of justice distribution. Then she affirms the contribution of Rawls's theory of justice distribution. At the same time, the writer discusses the limitation of this theory. Then the writer analyses the relation between Rawls's intergenerational equity and the ethical basic of strategy of sustainable development.In the end, the writer points out the re-recognization of equity and justice in constructing harmonious society. The writer also reckons that social equity and justice are a banner that a Marxian should hold firmly all the time, the Marxians should make it the base for constructing the harmonious society.The article is divided into five parts: Introduction; Part 1, the sources of Rawls's theory of justice distribution; Part 2, the connotation of Rawls's theory of justice distribution; Part 3, the analysis of Rawls's theory of justice distribution; Part 4, the connotation of Rawls's theory of justice distribution are the base and premise of the construction of harmonious society. The first two parts introduce the theory and its source. The following three parts are the important parts of the article, the writer analyses the theory thoroughly, affirms its historical importance, and points out its limitation. In the last part the practical importance of the theory is discussed.
