Rawls's Difference Principle Research In The Theory Of Distributive Justice

In 1971,Rawls' "justice theory" was published.Since then,"justice as fairness" theory that he put forward has pulled utilitarianism in the social mainstream down from the status of absolute hegemony,and opened up a new round of discussion about justice.Among them,the difference principle based on the "original position" and "veil of ignorance" the preconditions has been seen as the representative point of view in Rawls justice theory.and also caused a lot of controversy.Difference principle is the theory of composition based on absorbing the advantages from other school,with very strong realistic considerations at the same time.It emphasizes the realization of distributive justice in the society must need to tend benefit to members in the bottom of the society and the least beneficiaries.This move towards egalitarianism John Rawls made is on the basis of liberalism.There is no doubt that this will inevitably suffered factions' attack.This paper discusses the difference principle itself and its theoretical composition and ideological composition,and critiques and points out the defects of the theory to know the difference principle as fully as possible from the perspective of liberalism,utilitarianism and communitarianism.At the same time Combining with the characteristics of current society,this paper considers what theory enlightenment the difference principle will bring to contemporary China.
