The Research On The Origin And Influence Of "Five Evils" Movement

The movement against the "five evils" that occurred after the Foundation of the CPC was a large-scale launch of a mass political movement, which was made by CPC to be directed against "five evils" conduct of the capitalist class, that under the situation of having got the position to rule the whole country. The starting of "five evils" had an important position in the history of New China. This article studied on the reasons, effects, experiences, lessons and enlightenments of "five evils" movement in chief.This article researched the aspects from the direct and deep-seated reasons. The direct reasons was analyzed from the view of history evolution in chief, that is to say, The CPC found that there was a relation between the decay conduct of lots of cadre members and unlawful industry and commerce people of the capitalist class, thus, under the suggestion of the chairman Mao, the Central Committee of the CPC started "five evils" movement, which against those people who on behalf of unlawful industry and commerce people of the capitalist class. The deep-seated reasons were mainly displayed from the inevitability of Chinese revolution "two-step" strategy and the reality of Chinese society at that time.In the aspect of influences, this article illustrated two aspects of effects in chief, the effect from the judgement of the chief contradiction of our country by CPC, and the other effect from the CPC's strategic decision. Firstly, more and more "five evils" conduct of the capitalist class were revealed during the period of "five evils" movement. It led to a consideration again as to the problem of the capitalist class being our enemies or our friends, so effected finally the judgement of chief contradiction of our country by the CPC. Then, with the improvement of the position of the working class, changes of the understanding in the knowledge of the capitalist class and the balance composition changes, the leaders of the Central Committee changed the strategic decisions in the transition to socialism . Lastly, it analyzed from striving strategy, the nature of movement and ways of striving about "five evils" movement in the aspect of experience and lessons in chief, in order to reveal the enlightenment of the movement for the party in power at present.
