Direct election and indirect election are two important ways in electoral system, which always accompany each other. In China, both ways are employed. Actually, now, in China, the direct election is just used in the election in the xiang and county level. In this paper, I will focus on the direct election in China. I will analyze it in four points.First of all, I will state that the direct election is generally used in the world. In west world countries, almost all the councilors in the lower house are selected in the direct election; however, most of the members in the upper house are selected in the indirect election. Anyway, the combine of the direct election and indirect election is really a general way in modern democracy countries.Secondly, by comparing the two ways, I will show that the direct election is more difficult to be illegally controlled than indirect election. In detail, I show this by comparing the two ways in the following points: the possibility of control name list of candidates, how the electors take part in the election, the nomination of the candidates, the election of the candidates, the relationship between candidates and electors, the absence of the candidates, and the other illegal situations in election. Actually, the "rivalries selection", which is a kind of direct election, has been carried out in the election of the rendadiabiao in China; however, to reach a advanced election system, there is a long way for us to cover in practice and political system.Thirdly, I think that we should widen the field that uses the direct election. In practice, I suggest we can employ the direct election in cities and provinces; but, we should not select the leaders in the governments in the direct election. This is a general way in democratic countries and it does not break the frame of the "great politics" in China. Finally, I show, in practice, how to carry out the direct election in the province election, city election, county election, and xiang election. In detail, I show my ideas about how to make the schedule of election, how to register of the electors, how to set off the election area, how to distribute the member of candidates, and how to nominate the candidates. In conclusion, the development of the direct election is a democratic trend. To build an advanced, civilized and democratic election system in China, we should both follow this democratic trend and realize it forcedly and steadily.
