Linxia Hui Autonomous Prefecture, the ancient name of the He zhou in China, east and west, south and north sub-four townships around the city. DONGXIANG initially concentrated in the east of the Linxia Hui Autonomous Prefecture, which is now known as the Dongxiang Autonomous County. Dongxiang ethnic group formed in the Ming Dynasty.But until the 20th century, the mid-1950s, Linxia Hui Autonomous Prefecture of living in the area east of this group, conducted a survey of history and ethnic identification, fully respect the wishes of the national party and the government, before deciding to regard them as Dongxiang nationality. Now they live in Dongxiang Autonomous County, which in Linxia Hui Autonomous Prefecture of Gansu Province. According to 2000 statistics, there are more than 539,300 population in whole country. About 220,000 live in Dongxiang Autonomous County. The rest are scattered in whole country. A relatively large population of Dongxiang nationality live in Lanzhou City, Qinghai Province, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region and Xinjiang. The population of Dongxiang nationality in Xinjiang has reached 70,000. Yili area becomes another major populated area. Although Dongxiangs for generations to use their own language: Dongxiang language. But there has been no word of this nation, the founding of the information in the literature difficult to access. The study about Dongxiang nationality began in the mid-1950s. As of now, we have been studied about Dongxiang nationality half a century of history. However, the study of immigrants only two articles: BaiXiaorong wrote "eating practices inheritance and variation of Dongxiang people who have been moved to the city." and ChenWenxiang wrote "On the Causes of the Ethnic Minority of Dongxiang Migrating to Xinjiang after 1950." Given this, I mainly centered on the Yan family name, they live at Qingquan Village of Yili area, trying to use what we learned in the national knowledge, combine survey data with the use of theme class and cultural changes in the method of combining theory. I want to objective description and analysis of the cultural changes immigrants of Qingquan Village.This paper consists of three parts Part I: Literature Review, the preamble, this study reviewed the situation and the profile of Dongxiangs. I have the papers in the field of survey research method and significance; Part II: the profile of Chitan village. At first Yan family name lived at Chitan Village. Now they live at Qingquan Village. I also described the human and natural environments of the two villages and migration patterns; Part III: The cultural changes of immigrants. By comparing these two groups to the family surnamed Yan family name, then analysis the cultural changes of immigrants.
