The Village Politics In Cooperation Field

On the base of the case study of chicken-raising association by peasants of Yuan Village in G county in Anhui province and events having happened among state ,village and peasants as incisive point ,this thesis tries to present the operative logic of village politics in cooperative field territory. In this way ,we can further understand the current country society of China. It takes the state-society relationship theory as analytical frame. The main data comes from the records and notes of my field investigation in Yuan village and some relative original materials bestowed by others. The basic clew is the vicissitude history of chicken raising association of Yuan village.This article adopts the narrative strategy of "process—event analysis". Narration makes up the majority of the content. The operative logic of village politics is presented by a series of events in the chicken raising association. From these events, we can see a vivid picture of village politics performed by state, village and peasants together.In the view of this thesis, although the cooperation organization of peasants provides institutional ways and possibility for their own interests expression, this beautiful scenery has not come true. There is still not a new look on the low condition of peasants' negotiation status. In addition, the development of peasant cooperation organization is greatly affected by the market. The ability of peasant cooperation organization resisting the market should be improved.This thesis also suggests that the state can't make effect on peasants without the help of village government. The peasants also have to depend on the power of the village government to respond to the state. The village government is "a threshold that can't be crossed" by both the state and peasants. Emphasis on the construction of village government and making full use of it should be the important measure of improving the current governance condition in Chinese country society.
